As the wedding master of ceremonies it is their job to introduce and thank other speakers, such as the best man and maid of honor. However, not all fathers feel comfortable with this role, so it is perfectly acceptable to get somebody else in the family or a close friend to take on this task.

    The wedding Mc should ideally play the role of an organizer and keep the proceedings rolling according to plan. The Mc also helps to set the atmosphere of the reception, as a joyous and happy celebration. Note that they should not make the mistake of seeing themselves as the highlight of the evening and dominate the reception.
